Coastal-Inspired Backyard Wedding in Greenwich, CT

There’s so much to talk about with Sammi and Rob’s backyard wedding, we hardly know where to begin. The bride always knew she wanted to get married in her grandparents’ backyard, and who can blame her? The oceanfront home was designed by her architect grandfather, and she and Rob love spending time there. Plus, the couple amped up the nostalgia by choosing a wedding date that fell exactly 30 years after Sammi’s parents got married on the same back lawn.

Our provider The Greenwich Tent Co. made this challenging install happen, making good on their promise of flawless execution. The raised full floor provided the perfect vantage point for the reception, offering up stunning water views from underneath the 66′ x 86′ reception tent.

In the bride’s own words, the decor was “clean – very much white and wood, with some accents of blue and natural pops of color.” Event planner Sarah True of True Event helped orchestrate every detail, from the flowers by Hana Floral Design to the extra decor stylings of Ryan Designs. The vendor team on this wedding was truly outstanding, a fact that’s quickly evident in the beautiful images by Leila Brewster Photography.

Oh, and one more note of interest. The bride’s aunt is actually famed photographer Annie Leibovitz, and she was there to take a portrait of the couple!! (You’ll see her in the images if you look closely.) Very cool stuff.
